Frequently Asked Questions
“Are you licensed?”
Yes. Kristen and Tony are both licensed to perform acupuncture and dispense herbal medicine by the state of Idaho.
“How much education do you have?”
Both Kristen and Tony have 4-year undergraduate degrees and 4-year Master’s degrees.

“Do I need a referral from my doctor to see you?”
No.
“Can I still do my chiropractic treament, physical therapy, etc. if I come to you?”
Yes. Many of our patient are receiving several different treatment modalities. It is very common.
“Do you take insurance?”
Tony accepts most major health insurance. Contact him to find out if your policy qualifies. Kristen does not accept insurance. If you do not use health insurance, you pay us the day you receive treatment. We can give you a “Superbill” to present to your insurance company and they will reimburse you directly. Call your insurance to find out if this procedure works for them.
We do accept Flex plan cards.
“I’m afraid to try acupuncture. I think it might hurt.”
Acupuncture needles are not much thicker than a human hair. Most people rarely feel very much. Some may feel tingling or a heavy sensation, but almost never “pain”. The fear many new patients have is understandable but is not a good reason to avoid acupuncture treatment. Click here to watch an acupuncture needle being inserted.
“Are your needles sterilized?”
Yes. We use only individually-packaged, pre-sterilized needles that are used only on you, then disposed of as medical waste.
